What to expect

I want you to be as comfortable as possible. I will explain the procedures, techniques, and expectations. Feel free to ask any questions before and during your session.  Please view this video if this is your first massage session:

You may be nervous about what to expect during a massage session. It is OK to be nervous. This is a normal response. You are doing something outside of your comfort zone and taking steps to take care of yourself.

The first thing you should know is that this massage session is about you – you do not have to comply with anything that makes you uncomfortable. It is important to speak up and request what you need at all times. I am here to serve your needs.

A short health questionnaire and consent to massage form will be filled out to provide a general idea of your overall health. Some conditions may restrict your ability to get a massage.

You may be asked to undress (depending on the treatment type) to your level of comfort in private where a robe is available. If you are more comfortable with wearing your clothes you should wear something loose and comfortable (preferably cotton). The amount of clothing will determine the massage treatment that can be administered.

If undressed, you will be covered with a sheet and draped during the entire session. Only areas that are being addressed will be undraped.

Treatment will be tailored to your needs.

Please communicate your areas of concern, pressure and comfort level at any time.

Breathe deeply and allow your body to relax. This is your special time that you deserve and need.
